Editorial Principles
Trust is the only thing we have to offer. These are the principles we hold ourselves to.
TurkeyHealth.care exists to help international visitors make better decisions about healthcare, wellness, and recovery in Türkiye. Trust is the only thing we have to offer, and these are the principles we hold ourselves to.
What we will not do
No clinic, hotel, or service provider can pay us to rank higher, appear in featured positions, or receive a more favorable review.
When a partnership exists, it is clearly labeled. We use the words “partner clinic” or “sponsored” — never softer terms designed to confuse.
Until we have verified, consenting patients to share their stories, we publish no patient stories. We would rather be transparent about being new than fabricate a history we don't have.
Our role is to inform, not to sell. If a treatment is unsuitable for medical travel, we say so. If a destination is wrong for your situation, we say so. If you should stay home and consult a local provider, we say so.
What we will do
Every page reflects independent research, not promotional copy from clinics. Where data comes from a specific source — accreditation body, peer-reviewed study, official statistics — we cite it.
Healthcare prices, regulations, and clinic standards shift. We review treatment guides quarterly and update destination information as relevant changes occur. Pages display their last review date.
AI assists our research, drafting, and translation work. Every published page is reviewed by a human editor before it goes live. Medical accuracy claims are checked against authoritative sources.
Medical travel is complex. When the evidence is unclear, we say so. When clinic-level variation is wide, we say so. We do not pretend to certainty we don't have.
If you find an error, write to us and we will fix it. If you have a different perspective on a treatment, destination, or provider, we want to hear it. Editorial corrections are logged and dated.
How we choose what to cover
We prioritize coverage where international visitors face the most decision complexity: treatments with significant cost variation, destinations with quality variation, recovery situations that benefit from non-obvious planning.
We do not try to cover everything. A shallow guide to every treatment in Türkiye would help no one. A considered guide to dental implants for UK patients, or thermal recovery for German visitors, can genuinely change someone's experience.
We expand coverage based on three signals: reader questions we cannot yet answer well, gaps in existing public information, and areas where our editorial perspective adds something new.
How we handle conflicts of interest
If we ever accept commercial relationships — affiliate links, partner clinic referral fees, premium listings — these will be:
- Clearly labeled wherever they appear
- Disclosed in our About and How We Select Providers pages
- Subject to the same editorial standards as unpaid coverage
Editorial independence is non-negotiable. A commercial relationship cannot purchase a positive review.
