The Şişli district is Turkey's healthcare capital. Here's a neighbourhood-by-neighbourhood guide to navigating it.
Şişli, Istanbul's central European-side district, has quietly become one of the most significant medical hubs in the world. Within a five-kilometre radius, you will find more JCI-accredited hospitals than in the whole of Spain — alongside a supporting ecosystem of specialist clinics, recovery hotels, private pharmacies, and international patient coordinators that makes the experience of receiving treatment here remarkably seamless.
The Key Addresses
The district's hospital row runs primarily along Büyükdere and Halaskargazi Caddesi. Memorial Şişli, Medicana International, and Acıbadem Fulya — all Silver Circle partners — anchor the area. Each has a dedicated International Patient Centre with coordinators who speak English, German, Arabic, and Russian. Medical Kadıköy on the Asian side is preferred by some of our clients who stay in Moda or Kalamış.
Where to Stay During Treatment
Getting Around
Istanbul traffic is legendary. All Silver Circle packages include private transfer services — we do not recommend public transport immediately after procedures. Once you are recovered and ready to explore, the city opens up: the metro from Şişli to Sultanahmet (the Old City) takes 22 minutes, and a taxi across the Bosphorus Bridge at dusk is one of the great Istanbul experiences. Our concierge team can arrange restaurant reservations, private Bosphorus cruises, and cultural guides during your downtime.
