Recovery accommodation in Türkiye
The room you recover in is chosen on access, quiet and distance from the clinic rather than on its star rating, and the questions that decide it are about lifts, bathrooms and food rather than about the view.
Planning recovery accommodation between 50 and 75
A five-star city-centre hotel is often the wrong choice after a procedure. What makes a stay restorative is a quiet room, a bathroom you can use unaided, a lift that reaches your floor, a short and predictable journey to the clinic, and a kitchen willing to cook something soft, bland and available at odd hours. Very few booking sites let you filter on any of that, which is why it has to be asked directly.
Length of stay is set by the clinic, not the hotel, and it changes. Ask about flexible check-out and the cost of extending by two or three nights, because the extension is common and the rate charged for it at short notice is not always kind. If a companion is travelling, confirm the room takes two people comfortably rather than technically.
Then ask the unglamorous questions. Is there a lift, and does it reach every floor you need? Is the bathroom step-free? Is there air conditioning you can control, and heating in the cooler months? How far is the nearest hospital with an emergency department, and does the front desk have a night-time protocol if a guest is unwell? A property that answers all of this without hesitating has hosted recovering guests before.
What to establish before you decide
Questions to ask the property

- 02How long is the journey to the clinic at the time of my appointments?
- 03Where is the nearest hospital with an emergency department?
- 04Can the kitchen provide soft or plain food outside normal service hours?
- 05Is the room quiet at night, and can I control heating and air conditioning?
- 06What does it cost to extend my stay by two or three nights at short notice?
- 07Is there someone at the desk overnight, and what happens if a guest is unwell?
- 08Have you hosted guests recovering from surgery before?
