In brief

One hospital on one site, with unusually specific accreditation dates on its own pages. Its English pages are thin: we read the Turkish About and JCI pages.

The hospital

What Hisar Intercontinental is

The hospital says it started in 2005 and prints 270 beds, seven operating rooms, 33 intensive care beds and 40,000 m². It has no sister buildings on the pages we read, and its owner is not disclosed. Facts here come from the Turkish About page, as we found no English About page.

The JCI claim

The Turkish JCI page says a survey took place on 6–10 May 2024, that the certificate was renewed for the sixth time and that it is valid until May 2027, and that the hospital was accredited in its first year, without saying which year. The hospital also cites a Ministry of Health quality standard (SKS). Check the dates on JCI's register.

International patients

The section for international patients on the English site is empty on the pages we read. No unit, language list or foreign office is named.

  3. Your named consultant

  4. A coordinator in your language

a named person, with hours that work from your own country.

  5. Follow-up after you fly home

who you contact, and how your records reach your own doctor.

  6. Every charge, in writing

one itemised quote, with exclusions stated before you commit.
