The clinic

The clinic and its approach

Esteworld's Turkish home page presents the group as an aesthetic and plastic surgery health group, with services in plastic surgery, hair transplantation, dental aesthetics, medical aesthetics and podiatry. It says it has offered these since 1994 and that its patients come from nearly 100 countries; the home page itself says 35.

The About page lists Dr. Mustafa Tuncer as chairman of the board, Dr. Burak Tuncer as medical director, Alaaddin Şahin as general manager and Ebru Meltem Sarı as deputy general manager. It describes the Altunizade facility as a modern hospital with 10,000 square metres of enclosed area and 25 rooms, and gives 4 operating rooms and 17 hair transplant units.

The site lists a Ministry of Health authorised health institution certificate and a health-tourism authorisation certificate, as images, without saying which site each covers or giving numbers. It also claims "compliance with WHO standards"; WHO does not certify clinics, so we treat this as unverifiable wording.

  6. What happens if you need a revision?

    On what terms, and who pays for the hospital and the flight.

    Ask for the clinic's minimum, and compare it with your own surgeon's advice at home.
