Her own site gives a medical degree from Trakya University Faculty of Medicine in 1998 and no medical specialty. It says she completed a Ministry of Health certified training programme in hair surgery and then received official authorisation for hair transplantation. The certificate is training, not a specialty. Her site also says she is an ABHRS diplomate; this appears only on her own pages and under Awards on her ISHRS profile, and the ABHRS site (abhrs.org) returned 401 when we tried to read it, so it is not confirmed here. The opening year of her own clinic is given two ways: 2002 on her own site ("Since 2002, she has been performing hair transplantation procedures at her own licensed and authorized clinic") and 2004 on her IAHRS profile ("In 2004 Dr. Özlem Biçer opened her own licensed clinic by Turkish Ministry of Health"). We show both. Her title is "Dr." and "MD" on all pages read; no university or hospital record of a further academic title was read.
