Training and career.
Medical degree at Gazi University in 1991. Orthopaedics and traumatology residency at Istanbul University Cerrahpaşa Faculty of Medicine from 1992, finishing as a specialist in 1997, then chief resident in 1999. Short periods abroad: one month on Ilizarov surgery in Italy (2001), three months on foot and ankle surgery in the Netherlands (2002) and six months on foot and ankle surgery at Duke University (2006–2007). His own site gives the address of his practice in Beşiktaş. It does not name a hospital where he operates. The practice confirms in writing where any surgery would take place. Before you commit, ask the practice to state in writing where any surgery would take place, who the facility's licence holder is, and which accreditation, if any, covers that facility.
