Which Istanbul hospital buildings hold JCI accreditation?

The short answer

We read the JCI register on 29 October 2026 for 59 Istanbul buildings run by the groups we cover. 17 are listed by name, 13 sit under an entry that does not name the building, and 29 were not found. Not found does not mean not accredited: ask the hospital for its certificate and IHCO ID. Memorial Ataşehir: not found.[1]

Where a row says “Not found on 29 Oct 2026”: We did not find this building in the JCI register on 29 October 2026. Ask the hospital for its JCI certificate and IHCO ID.

Outside Istanbul province: the register lists Anadolu Medical Center (ASM Anadolu Saglik Merkezi A.S.), Kocaeli, as a Hospital since 17 Feb 2007, and Memorial Ankara Hospital and Medicana Bursa Hastanesi. Memorial's own list also names Medstar Antalya; we did not find it in the register on 29 October 2026.

Why does accreditation belong to a building?

A hospital group is a brand and an owner; the care happens in a licensed building. Accreditation is awarded to a hospital, so a group-wide badge does not tell you about the building you would be in.[1]

The groups' own pages show the gap. Memorial's presentation page names JCI for four buildings (Şişli, Ankara, Bahçelievler and Medstar Antalya), and Memorial Ataşehir is not among them. Medical Park says “three of our hospitals” hold JCI and names two Istanbul buildings. Yeditepe's JCI page names only Koşuyolu. Dünyagöz states a JCI audit in 2006 without naming a building.

How do I check a hospital myself?

Ask the hospital for the certificate and its expiry date, then look for the building by name in the accreditor's own register. A badge on a hospital's website is not a check.[1]

Then confirm the licence and the health-tourism authorisation in the Ministry of Health's published lists, and check any agency arranging your stay separately.[3][4]

What JCI does not tell you

Accreditation is a statement about a hospital as an organisation, at the time it was surveyed. It does not tell you who will operate on you, how many of your procedure they perform, what results they achieve, or what you will be charged. Ask for those in writing.

Other certificates are different things. ISO 14001 and ISO 27001 concern environmental management and information security, and TÜSKA is Türkiye's own accreditation body, with its own list.[5]
